Foreign Minister Speaks with Sudan’s Sovereignty Council Chairman, Commander of Rapid Support Forces

Riyadh, May 02, 2024, SPA -- Minister of Foreign Affair Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah spoke separately by telephone with both Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) First Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) First Commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
During the two calls, participants discussed current developments in Sudan and their repercussions on the Sudanese people.
In this regard, Prince Faisal emphasized the importance of working to protect Sudan and its people from further destruction and exacerbation of the already challenging humanitarian situation.
The minister stressed the necessity of prioritizing the interests of the Sudanese people and halting hostilities to safeguard state institutions, protect Sudan, and lead it towards safety and stability.
